Have the same problem with a KonicaMinolta 1650EN networked printer that has been working fine for 4 months with Windows 10 on a Lenovo E550. Just stopped midmorning today and says printer is off-line (HOWEVER IT IS PRINTING FOR OTHER COMPUTERS JUST FINE).
Tried the steps above under method 2 and there is no "new print queue" option on the "see what's printing page."
The only thing the Fix Printer Problems above suggests is to turn the printer on, but, IT IS ON AND PRINTING FINE for everyone else.
NOTE: The "use printer off-line" choice under the printer heading on my machine IS NOT CHECKED.
This is obviously a windows 10 issue and nothing noted above here helps.

have the exact same problem asItcje's
I have tried the starting of the print spooler and Printer extension and notification but when I right click it does give a "start" option as it is greyed out and also the service is running.
I tried restart button and it completed the instruction and nothing has changed.
I remain with a printer I cant uninstall, a printer that is apparently turned off and offline by my computer and a working printer for everyone else connected to it..... Its ridiculous

I also have this exact problem and have tried all of the above but it just won't work.
Mine is a Cannon MG3500 series. It is on but is showing offline, I can't remove it and it just won't print.
Obviously a Windows 10 problem that has been known for some time.
WHY DON'T YOU FIX THIS ISSUE?

I have the same problem but with an HP Envy 4501. If there is a fix they don't have it. I have tried everything that's been suggested but to no avail. Dumb part is that sometimes it just goes on-line by it's self.

My one is fixed now and I'm not sure if it was the latest Microsoft update that I ran or just co-incidence!!
Maybe you could try an update. Fingers crossed for you

Issue started this week after cumulative updates 21 June 2016.
Workout around for HP Color LaserJet MFP M447fdw in wireless mode with an IP address.
Start, Settings, Devices and Printers, Add a printer. Choose:
The printer that I want isn't listed. Choose:
Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings, Next
Create a new port: Standard TCP/IP Port, Next
IF IT CRASHES START AGAIN! If it does not, put in the IP address
Next, Use the existing driver. Next
Modify Name, Next
Press, Print a test page and finish.
You should have a basic printer in Devices and printer that you can use.
I await a proper fix from MS :-(

Why is Microsoft not sending automatic updates to fix this issue. I completely agree with all members of community raising numerous questions on this consistent pattern of printers going offline. This is clearly a software development issue. Please fix this through automatic updates. Thanks (User of Windows 10 and HP Officejet PRO 8600 !!!!!
